for our 25th release, we managed to sign a very special artist on laridae. MODEX, known for two gorgeous EPs on binkcrsh, agreed to provide us "pieces for triangulation", a full length album produced back in 2004. while rob curulli, the man behind MODEX, moved away from pure electronica to form two post-rock/post-metal bands (Binding Death and Rooftop Access), "pieces for triangulation" sums up everything that his electronic alter ego stood for: melancholy synth melodies, wallowing in oceans of reverb, escorted by distorted beats and noises, constantly evolving and drifting along its way through the aether. MODEX' album sounds like the best moments of nine inch nails remixes, slowed down to the half of the original speed and played back in a gigantic abandoned spaceship hangar. we are very proud to present you this extraordinary piece of work!
